What is a no-scalpel vasectomy?

A no-scalpel vasectomy is a modern male sterilisation surgical technique and is much less invasive than the standard vasectomy procedure. Instead of making a large incision, the doctor uses a special instrument to make a small puncture. Through this opening in the scrotum, the tube that carries the sperm from the testicles, the vas deferens, is accessed and tied, cut, or sealed off to prevent sperm from reaching the semen.
