About Joanne Athawes

Joanne is an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser who graduated from the University of Southampton in 2009 with a First-Class Honours degree in Audiology. Following graduation, she spent 15 years working within the NHS, where she was a Senior Audiologist, gaining experience in both adult and paediatric hearing care, as well as balance assessment and rehabilitation.

Passionate about delivering personalised, patient-centred care, Joanne is committed to helping individuals achieve the best possible hearing outcomes and improve their quality of life. She provides comprehensive hearing assessments, offers expert advice on hearing solutions, and recommends and fits hearing aids tailored to each patient’s needs. She also performs ear wax removal using safe and effective techniques.

With a wealth of clinical experience and a friendly, approachable manner, Joanne strives to ensure every patient feels supported, informed, and confident throughout their hearing healthcare journey.
